कर्मचारियों के लिए ESIC क्यों ज़रूरी है
अगर आप एक सैलरीड कर्मचारी हैं, तो आपने अपनी सैलरी स्लिप में ESIC कटौती देखी होगी। कर्मचारी हर महीने अपनी पेस्लिप में ESIC deduction देखते हैं, लेकिन यह साफ़-साफ़ नहीं समझ पाते कि ESIC क्या है, यह क्यों काटा जाता है और बदले में उन्हें क्या फायदे मिलते हैं।
कुछ कर्मचारियों को लगता है कि ESIC भी PT (Professional Tax) की तरह एक और अनिवार्य कटौती है, जो Net Salary कम कर देती है। लेकिन हकीकत इससे बिल्कुल अलग है।
Employees’ State Insurance Corporation एक Social Security Scheme है, जो कर्मचारियों के लिए बनाई गई है और यह भारत की सबसे शक्तिशाली compliances में से एक है। यह मेडिकल, फाइनेंशियल, मैटरनिटी, डिसएबिलिटी और डिपेंडेंट्स प्रोटेक्शन जैसे कई फायदे देता है। यह सिर्फ कर्मचारी के लिए ही नहीं, बल्कि उसके परिवार के लिए भी होता है।
ESIC क्या है?
ESIC का पूरा नाम Employees’ State Insurance Corporation है। यह भारत सरकार के Ministry of Labour and Employment के अंतर्गत काम करता है। ESIC की कॉन्सेप्ट Social Insurance पर आधारित है, जिसमें Employer और Employee दोनों हर महीने थोड़ा-सा योगदान करते हैं।
ESIC का उद्देश्य कर्मचारियों को उन फाइनेंशियल समस्याओं से सुरक्षा देना है, जो इन कारणों से हो सकती हैं:

- मातृत्व

एक बार कर्मचारी ESIC में कवर हो जाने के बाद, नौकरी बदलने पर भी ESIC लाभ जारी रहते हैं, जब तक ESIC registration active रहता है।
ESIC Contribution: आपको कितना भुगतान करना होता है?
ESIC में Employee और Employer दोनों योगदान करते हैं:
- Employee Contribution: Gross Salary का 0.75%
- Employer Contribution: Gross Salary का 3.25%
अगर आप तुलना करें, तो Employee बहुत कम योगदान करता है, लेकिन बदले में मिलने वाले फायदे कहीं ज़्यादा होते हैं।
